A photo exhibition about the story of the mountain guides of Cortina

Cortina d'Ampezzo, centrally located in the Dolomites, was a hotspot for climbers and mountaineering pioneers in the 19th and 20th centuries. Many of these mountaineers and mountain guides have influenced the nature of mountaineering to this day. In order to give these pioneers the honour they deserve, a photo exhibition was made on the top of the mighty Tofana, at 3,325 metres above sea level. Formbar designed the exhibition and the graphics.
The design of the exhibition visually quotes the mountain peaks surrounding Cortina. Modern forms combined with traditional materials create an exciting interaction.
The greatest challenge was the transport and construction of the exhibition at this height, as well as the extreme temperature differences.
